Nagornov Valentin Pavlovich - Biography
Nagornov Valentin Pavlovich was born on June 2, 1952 in Ryazan in the family of a military man. In 1959 he went to school in the village Nizhne-Uvelsky, Chelyabinsk oblast and continued his education in Yuzhnouralsk.
Then he studied at school in Chelyabinsk. Next he studied at school number 10 and in 1969 he finished school number 31 in Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk oblast. In 1969 in Kamensk-Uralsky he entered the Ural Polytechnic Institute, the Technical Faculty on the speciality "Radio Engineering". In 1971 he moved to the Ural Polytechnic Institute, the Physics and Engineering Department in Sverdlovsk. In 1977 he received his graduate education in this Department on the speciality «Technical Physics», with the qualification «engineer-physicist».
Then he was a worker, worked as a junior researcher and an engineer in companies and universities of Ryazan. In 1985 he entered the postgraduate course (full-time tuition) on the speciality «Solid-State Physics» at A.A.Baykov Institute of metallurgy of the AS of the USSR and graduated from it in 1988.
Since 2005 he has been focusing on the history of domestic steel industry.
In 2007 he established the federal «Russian Scientific Journal» and he is its Editor-in-Chief.
He is the author of 8 publications in solid state physics and 72 publications in national history.
