In 2007 the first issue of a new scientific periodical «Russian Scientific Journal» appeared in the field of scientific publishing.
Journal is registered as mass media by the Federal Service for Supervision of Legislation in Mass Communications and Protection of Cultural Heritage in March 21, 2007. Certificate number ПИ №FS 77-276221.
Mass media was re-registered in February 19, 2009 with the change of co-founders.

The Journal publishes original scientific papers of the authors from throughout the Russian Federation, CIS Countries and foreign countries.
The Journal has the International Standard Serial Number ISSN 1995-441. The issues of this periodical are sent via the Russian Book Chamber to foreign libraries and scientific centers, to the Russian Academy of Sciences and its regional centers, to the Russian State Library and other central libraries.

The journal is included in the List of the leading reviewed scientific journals and editions (approved by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science) published in the Russian Federation, which should contain the essential scientific results of theses of the authors pursuing degrees of candidate and doctor of sciences:
